Who's Who?

Emmanuel staff, leadership and church council

RobinWeekesRobin Weekes (Minister)

Robin serves as the minister of Emmanuel and is married to Ursula. They have been entrusted with three children - Jasper, Henry & Emma. Robin is no stranger to Emmanuel, and has had the privilege of being involved with the church as a curate (1999-2003), a mission partner (2004-2010) and a member (2010-2012) before returning as the minister in March 2013.

Prior to being minister of Emmanuel, Robin taught on the PT Cornhill Training Course for two and a half years. Before that, the Weekes family lived in Delhi for 6 years as Associate Mission Partners with Crosslinks. He and Ursula speak Hindi, and their children were all born in Delhi. For 4 of those years Robin served as the pastor of Delhi Bible Fellowship South. Robin is passionate about Christ and his church.

As well as enjoying spending time with his family, Robin is an avid cyclist and can often be seen tearing round Richmond Park. He loves reading, travelling, sport (mainly rugby and cricket) and Indian food!

SarahHallSarah Hall

Sarah is from 'oop north', and her ten years in Wimbledon Village are proof that you can take the lass out of Yorkshire, but not Yorkshire out of the lass.  Ever true to her roots, Sarah loves drinking tea, chatting and her enormous cat Rory (she couldn't get a whippet to match her flat cap).  Before working at Emmanuel, Sarah qualified as social worker (honing her skills as human blotting paper) and then spent a number of years working on health policy for the Department of Health (expanding her skills in filing).  After completing the Cornhill Training Course, Sarah is the full time women's worker at Emmanuel.  She loves discipling, equipping and encouraging women of all ages through weekly bible studies, 1:1s and mums and tots.

JohnAdamsJohn Adams (Associate Minister)

John and Emily have come to Emmanuel from Oxford where John taught in a Secondary school and Emily was in training as a doctor. Apart from teaching and healing (!) they enjoy cycling, ITV3 murder mysteries and hanging out with Marina, Robin and Barnaby. As to the children's hobbies: Marina likes parks, and Robin likes chewing things. At Emmanuel, John is involved in the Sunday by Sunday preaching and leading programme and overseeing the youth work .

Richard Richard Dryer (Curate)

Richard is married to Charlotte. They have two children, Jonty and Annabel. Before coming to Emmanuel in 2014, Richard worked as a portfolio manager for 15 years, initially as a graduate trainee for Schroders, then as a Director at Credit Suisse and latterly as Head of Global Credit for Aberdeen Asset Management. He then trained for ordination at Wycliffe Hall. At Emmanuel he oversees the small groups. In his spare time he plays the French Horn.

ShobiShobi Selvadurai

Shobi is married to David and they have three girls and a dog. She has been a member of the Emmanuel Church family since 2004 and has worked as Robin's part-time PA since September 2014. She can be found sitting in the vestry on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. She enjoys walking on the Common, cooking and baking.

Phil Phil Keen

Phil has been at Emmanuel since 2007. After working for Transport for London, he did the Cornhill Training Course whilst working at Emmanuel and now spends his time doing youth work, 'church management' and helping out. He enjoys sport of all kinds, reading and cooking.

Rachel Robinson

Rachel

Rachel recently got married to James Robinson (Robbo) and is still trying to get used to a new surname. Rachel having finished the cornhill training course in June 2016 is now helping Sarah Hall with women's ministry 5 days a week. She is a qualified optometrist and will be keeping her eye in by working as one for one day a week. She loves company and so enjoys spending times with friends and family but on the occasions where she's exhausted she loves relaxing by reading or painting her nails.
