Housegroups and Firm Foundations

Housegroups

Housegroups
We have a number of housegroups at Emmanuel which meet in homes in the Wimbledon, Raynes Park, Putney, Wandsworth and New Malden area on Tuesdays or Wednesdays.

We meet to study God's work; pray for one another, to build friendships; to encourage one another and "bear one another's burdens" and to play our part in the overall work of the Gospel at Emmanuel. On the second Wednesday of each month, instead of the housegroup meetings, we come together for the central Prayer Meeting.

Firm Foundations
Firm Foundations is a two-year course run by Emmanuel Church with the aim of rooting and establishing people in Christ by prayerfully studying and applying the Bible in small groups. It is aimed at people who have recently graduated or are in their early to mid twenties. In particular, it is a great way for newcomers to get integrated into Emmanuel before joining regular housegroups after two years.

Firm Foundations takes place on either a Tuesday or a Wednesday evening during term time from 7.00pm until 9.30pm, except for the second Wednesday in each month when we join the rest of the church for the monthly prayer meeting. We normally start with a meal at 7pm, and the Bible Study at 8pm.

We split into several groups, meeting in homes in the Wimbledon and Raynes Park areas.

If you are interested in joining a Firm Foundations group please contact Richard Dryer.
