TNT is Emmanuel's Twenties and Thirties group. Each week we meet after the 6pm service to eat a meal together. There is usually a speaker or an interview to challenge us, inform us, and help us grow in our faith. TNT is a great place to meet new people and be challenged and helped to grow as a Christian. Just stick around after the service if you would like to join in.
We also organise open-invitation social events each term, too. All the details appear in our term card. To get involved and/or sign up for the newsletter contact the TNT Committee.
If you'd like to sign up to cook or volunteer the TNT Cooking Rota is here.
We have book group sessions roughly once a month - everyone reads a couple of chapters in advance and we then discuss these together. Our current books are:
Holiness by J.C. Ryle - With his trademark candour, J.C. Ryle strips away the gaudy ornamentation that many confuse for holiness, and systematically unfolds the true beauty of what it means to adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour. Deep, rich, and penetrating, this timeless classic is quite simply profound.
Why the Reformation Still Matters by Michael Reeves and Tim Chester
The next book group session will be on Sunday 2nd July. If you're part of the Holiness group, please read the final chapter (Christ is All). If you're in the Why the Reformation Still Matters book group, please read chapters 4 (Grace) and 5 (The theology of the cross).
Bible study groups are a central part of the life of Emmanuel and TNT has its own groups particularly suited to new Christians and people new to Emmanuel. We meet on a Tuesday or Wednesday for dinner, to read the Bible together, and to pray for and encourage each other. Click here for more details.
